When we broke up for the Christmas break after our exam session on December 12th I was full of hope for returning back to class from tomorrow.. But yet again the Virus has taken hold of the country and the return of dance studios has been put on hold.This makes me sad but for us all to return to some form of normality it is what is needed along with the hope of the vaccine doing all that is promised in the coming weeks. CHRISTMAS WISHES

With only 3 sleeps left I thought it was time to say those simple words Happy Christmas. A Christmas like we have never known before and I hope never have to experience again. It’s going to be very hard for so many but we must just keep telling ourselves that this isn’t forever if we abide by the rules and stay safe. Change of dates.

Change of dates.

I had been hoping to have another exam session on March 20th 2021 but have made the decision not go ahead with this. Having the last lockdown delayed teaching the new syllabus work and not knowing what we are going to face in the new year I feel it will be too much pressure on everyone. I am going to schedule an exam session for June 19th 2021 in the hope that we will have returned to some sort of normal by then. A new amended term document will be emailed to you all over the weekend. X

WE DID IT!

I’m sat here lost for words feeling rather emotional. Nine months later and with a lot of restrictions exams are completed. I had no idea how today would go after decades of using the same tried and tested format we had to run a completely different type of session. I really can’t believe how well it all went and most of that is down to my amazing team always there for me and covering my back. It’s been a long time coming.

Exam day has at long last arrived. Tomorrow morning at 9:30 the first of you will take your exams. All I can say is just go into that room and do what you love the way you do for me. You have all been amazing over the past 9 months, I really don’t have the words to tell you all how very proud I am to be your dance teacher. Gentle reminder

Just a few bullet points that I hope will answer some of the questions I have been asked regarding exam day. If I’ve missed anything please give me a shout. X Please be at the back door 10 minutes before exam time. Only bring in your shoes and winter coat. All shoes need to be named. Could all students taking rosettes please have their ballet shoes in a named sealed food bag as they will be changing their shoes whilst in the exam.
