Musical Theatre

This syllabus has been devised to give both girls and boys an insight into the ‘Magical World of Musical Theatre’. It covers all aspects of the genre slowly building as the pupils work their way up through the stages.

Within the syllabus, there are exercises for breathing, singing, diction, physical prep, performance, and theatre terminology. Built into the class structure are games to help with spacial awareness and to help build self-confidence ready for performance.

Having covered all of the above we have now introduced the Acting Awards Syllabus which focuses on projection, diction, believability, reaction, vocal variety, inflection, imagination, and both facial and physical expression.

This class is suitable for pupils both with and without a dance background.
